As if we weren't somber enough about the impending end of the show, this episode started off on a somber note with Tasha, Alice, and Jaime discussing the intricacies of having feelings for another whilst in a relationship. Alice then precedes to tell them to figure out whether they want to be together. Yeah, I'm feeling great about that relationship and the happy feeling I came into the episode with. Not. I had hoped the happy feeling would continue throughout the episode. Thanks for killing my hope, Ms. Chaiken. Alice said she would like a Captain Morgan's and Coke and that she started drinking at 11 A.M. Maybe I should of started drinking that early so that I could better endure this episode.

And since she couldn't possibly start the show off with one depressing and awkward moment, Ms. Chaiken went for two. Could Dylan and Helena have looked any more uncomfortable in that "Bette and Tina Tribute" moment they were filming for Jenny? No. It was sad that Helena and Dylan couldn't work things out. But the trust issue would have always plagued them.

The actual tribute that Jenny put together was sweet. We seen Tim, Marina, Ivan, Peggy, Angus, Jodi, and my fave Carmen. That was the best moment of the episode hands down. Jenny being the one responsile for stealing the negatives was surprising. Only because she totally sold me on not having anything to do with it.

The Bette and Tina love scene was great. I have been hoping for a Sade song in one of the episodes for the longest. At least somethng I wished for came true. I also loved the moment where Bette was trying to convince Tina, Kit, and James that she was "liking the idea of Tina supporting the family and Bette looking after the children". Yeah right. I laughed heartily too.

Angelica. There are no words. She is the cutest kid I have ever seen on TV. Her one-liners can completely make up for a bad episode.

The finale was as I expected it to be. As with the end of virtually every season on this show, just about every character is miserable and their relationships are broken up. I didn't expect anything to change this time around. I hoped, but I'm also realistic. A finale is supposed to answer questions not leave you with more than you had when you came into the episode. That's quite commonplace with The L Word, isn't it? Always leaving the most important of questions unanswered. We don't know how any of the storylines ended. What the hell happened?

The main question that I and I'm sure everyone else had on their minds was never answered. So, who killed Jenny? Hell if I know. Whatever.

Oh, I almost forgot, my mantra in Haiku definitely did NOT work. Oh well. I tried. If I was honest with myself, I would have admitted nothing was gonna work. But I was trying to be hopeful. Silly me.

I'm really gonna miss having this show to tune into every Sunday. Most of all I'm gonna miss the friendships, characters, and actresses.

I will miss Leisha Haley/Alice greatly. Alice was the glue that held the friends together. You couldn't help but love her. You always wanted to see what she was going to do or say next. Leisha Haley made me laugh to the point of tears sometimes with her comedic talents and then was able to make me feel like crying with her dramatic talents with just as much ease.

I must be honest and say that I won't miss Shane. But I will miss the way Katherine Moenig embodied the character. She knocked it out of the park. Though Shane never grew much emotionally, Katherine Moenig made you feel the character's pain and struggle and made you want to have Shane as a friend , and that's all you can ask of an actor/actress when they're given so little to work with.

I will miss Rachel Shelly/Helena. I'll miss the Helena introduced to us in Season 2, that I felt had such potential with Tina. Helena could be such a menacing force in both her personal and professional lives, but with Tina she seemed to soften, and I loved that about her. Let's not mention the accent or I'll be here all day. Oh that wonderful wonderful accent, I love it. Even though you never knew who the character would be from season to season, (the power-wielding businesswoman trying to ruin Bette's life, Alice's sidekick, the confused and lovesick heiress, or the unrepentent prison-dodging thief) Rachel Shelly still played whichever incarnation of the character well and made you believe it.

I will definitely miss Mia Kirshner/Jenny. When she went to work to act in those scenes, she was Jenny. It had to be difficult to play such a dark character from season to season, but you sure wouldn't know it from her portrayal. Her ability to improvise and lighten up the dark nature of the character with funny lines was brilliant. Though Jenny could be quite inappropriate at times, Mia Kirshner made you feel for her and want her to conquer her demons or be conquered by them. It was a love/hate relationship that the fans had with Jenny. Personally all I ever wanted for the character was for her to be happy, primarily because she was so tortured. I guess that just wasn't to be. But for a character to cause such varied emotions, the actress is obviously doing something right. Mia Kirshner certainly played Jenny right and well.

Last but not least, I will most miss Laurel Holloman/Tina and Jennifer Beals/Bette and the way they portrayed these characters and made us believe that Bette and Tina are soulmates. Their chemistry was amazing, some of the best I've ever seen, and I do believe I've seen some great TV and movie couples. !In my eyes, these actresses have a real and true emotional connection that allowed them to go above and beyond "playing" the characters. I don't think I've ever rooted so hard for a television couple in my life. These actresses evoked that emotion in me. They kept me on the edge of my seat hoping Bette and Tina would get back together and get it right. I ran the gamut of emotions from indifference to hope and sadness to elation. All thanks to their portrayal. And I thank these ladies immensely for it.

I wish all these actresses the best. I hope they have long and prosperous careers and continue to be involved in projects they believe in.
